i use 35mm f/2D too... but i have never noticed any particular high pitch noise.
it is very loud and comes from camera?

for my 180 2.8, unusually loud. enough to make it sound like something is not working right.

If i can i'll post a video with the sound. as pointed earlier, louder than with other older camera bodies.

i've brought my d600 and 180 to steven @ camera hospital today... he says it is just a characteristic of the d600 motor... the sound it makes trying to drive an AF-D teleprime

oh well... i'll have to live with it

That's what I thought too, it's probably just a cheaper motor in the D600.

I have been using D600 for quite some time. So far, I am quite satisfied with the camera. However, I have some difficulties when using the flash. Every time I used the flash, the camera will have delayed action to take the photo. Can anyone please advise what are the settings to be set in order to get immediate response? I cannot find any answer/hint in the manual. I am using "M" mode most of the time.

You have selected Rear-curtain sync.
Read page 144 of your D600 manual.

You have set the flash to red eye reduction mode. Find the button with the flash logo besides the pop up flash, hold it down and turn the rear dial until the eye logo on the top lcd disappears.

This is going to be an intelligent guess, but it should be either T K Foto or John 3:16. That's based on the fact that they are giving away Sirui tripods as a free gift. As far as I know, only T K Foto, John 3:16 and Song Brothers carry Sirui inventory.

Update your camera raw to 7.3
Think only elements 11 support acr 7 & above. If older version, then u need to use dng convertor to convert first to dng then open using your elements.

My d600 got weird sound come out from the camera when I run the "Clean Sensor Now" option

That's exactly the sound of your sensor being cleaned.

Hi everyone,

The SD card formatted by my D600 has difficulty when copying/ transferring pics in my Mac. When i format the SD card on my D800, shoot it with the D600, i can transfer pics easily. But its not possible if i format it with the D600.

Can anyone advice me?
