They exchanged D610 for your D600? How many times u sent in for dust/oil issue?

Nice to know that, they are prepared to exchange if problem not solve ....

So many new D610 in bns...

yes,but they want to sell the unreasonable price $2450,$2300,$2200 are higher than the shops selling new around $2100.
Who's stupid buy from them?

BnS buyers need to do homework...at least call a reputable shop to check latest street price.

Btw, I meant quite a few got exchange to new D610 recently?

I have a strong feeling that set of D610 exchanged from Nikon maybe a refurbished set.
(So many new and rejected D600,where they gone?)
If I want to buy D610,I will avoid the exchanged set.

Nope. It's new. I exchanged my D600 box (everything inside) with a new D610 box. No shutter count, camera brand new (smells new also), turning it on for first time brings me to the set-language page. All accessories unopened before, protective film on LCD cover intact and untampered with. If even these dun convince u that it is a new D610 set, then every D610 sold in retail shops are considered refurbished liao...

So your D610 is spot free or much less recurrence of the dust and spots?

Been using for 2 weeks, same kind of usage as my D600, still no spots showing up at smaller apertures. :)

Nobody. Just because they ask for that amount doesn't mean they let it go for that price.

yeah. the d610 selling in retail shops usually has shutter counts from few tenths to hundredths. It may be display sets(which they change regularly to keep shutter counts low)so to sell all as new. But from Nikon Centre, it is likely more to be new if it is at the set-language page. So it makes sense these sets are more 'valuable'. so they shld be attractive selling at the same price as retail shops or slightly lower provided its still at set-language page.

Anyway, I have one exchanged set for sale, with SC 2000+. Let me know if anyone keen. HAHAHAHAHAH

If you reset the camera,it will go to the set-language page.Very easy.
If you reset the shutter counting to zero. Also very easy.
(It need some software to read the actual shutter counting.)
Do not confuse the new guys. :nono:
Bought new from camera shop, you can exchange the camera within 7 days if you do not satisfied, but how about the Nikon exchanged one?

Same policy applies. 7 day 1-1 exchange with NSC.

Having said all these, plz dun get me wrong. I'm not trying to convince anyone to get the D610 just because i got mine. The D610 is essentially a modified D600, with slightly faster fps (6 vs 5.5, if u can even feel that difference), better AWB algorithm (not really, since D600 already had great AWB to begin with), 3D virtual horizon instead of D600's 2D virtual horizon (only useful for landscapes), quiet continuous mode (useful for me, but just a bit quieter than continuous low). D610 is not really a much better camera than D600 except for that dust issue. So D600 users unaffected by dust issue plz continue to enjoy shooting with the camera. :)

Not sure which retail shop you buy from. The ones i buy from do not even have a single shutter count, ever. And i have bought quite a number of camera bodies in my lifetime.

Hi,
I've discovered a part of the body of my D600 that's falling off.

Is this normal?

Here's a picture of it, circled in yellow
