D600, D800 prices

Yesterday check prices for Nikon D600 body varies from $2680 to $2690.
Nikon 24-85mm lens around $583 to $596.

Not sure pricing are good, any brothers care to comment.

It is going for MYR 6,000 in JB.

Even cheaper in HK.

Techno gadgets is cheaper too.

But if you want local warranty, you can only buy it in Singapore stores.

Cannot comment on the lens.

6k is the going rate in kl also, cash price. Credit card add 2% more.

Penang should be cheaper.

For example, buy from Technogadets is as good as our local stores and I can enjoy warranty with NSC?

Due to export regulations and/or manufacturers restrictions, we are unable to accept orders with a shipping address in SINGAPORE for the following item(s).

Gotta go through freight forwarder though.

If freight is estimated at US$100 (quite bulky, with monopod/bag, etc), after GST still works out to around 2.8K.
Maybe the 24-85 can sell for about $500, end up about 2.3 for the body. Not bad at all.

But the body won't qualify for wet sensor cleaning for free here in Singapore.

I think it depends on the source. You would need to produce both the relevant warranty card and proof of purchase. I think you would fail the "proof of purchase" portion as Technogadgets is not a licensed distributor in Singapore, and that your product was purchased in Singapore, but sourced from somewhere else.

I am not familiar with the exact rules, and this is simply my best guess.
