D60 to D90? or D7000?

really? it seems opposite for my case :bsmilie: all my camera equipment r bought using the money i got from ns

Allowance low but high expenditure hehe. ;p

After come out work then can afford camera..

Don't think too much...get the D7000...you'll just love to handle this baby!

not even sure if I can bear to let go of my D60 though.
my first camera after all.

The ability to meter to old legacy MF lenses is in itself worth the cost difference. Then you have the user banks, the improved ISO performance, the 1/2 magnesium body, (some) weather sealing, the much bigger 100% viewfinder, and dual memory cards.... That is a lot of improvement for $700 difference.

To me the D7k is very very worth the price difference compared to the D90. Too bad my upgrade path is different... If I am looking to get a new DX cam, the D7k would be it.

Enough has been said on D7000 which is the best and latest among the others.

I have the same scenario as you.
I'm currently using D3000 and now saving money to upgrade D7000.
Main reason why i choose D7k instaed of D90:
1) It can do metering on old manual lens which D90 can't.
2) It commands better resale price than D90. Just in case it doesn't suit you, can just sell it without loosing much compare to D90 which i think it's flooded already.

Just my 2 cent.

Alright then I've decided to buy the D7000.
But before I close thread, anyone knows the cheapest 1st hand price for the D7000 now?
Together with where to buy it.
I'm talking about body with the kit lens.
Freebies don't matter to me.
The price isn't in the price guides -.-
Thanks~

I'm also waiting to get the body of D7000. Like you, i'm using a D60 also and going to wait to get it from Iphoto which many CSers say is $1700 body only which is the cheapest around already.

Dear TS, i think you may take reference from this D7000 Fall In thread for reference and call the shops directly. Only the shops will be able to give you the latest daily price. :)
