gotta MF lor.. use the rangefinder..guess its the Gear Acquisition Syndrome... ;p
Have been toying with the idea of the 50mm f/1.8, any thoughts on that?
i am using a series e 50mm. longer m/f throw so i find it quite easy to m/f. but the newer af lenses have a shorter throw on the focus ring, so its harder to get a fix. as for the kit lens, its even harder to m/f.guess its the Gear Acquisition Syndrome... ;p

ya.. kit lens focusing ring is so thin.. as if it's only meant for AF.i am using a series e 50mm. longer m/f throw so i find it quite easy to m/f. but the newer af lenses have a shorter throw on the focus ring, so its harder to get a fix. as for the kit lens, its even harder to m/f.
just my 2 cents.
if you have budget.. then only go for nikon AFS 50mm f1.4i've been considering on getting a 50mm f1.8 as well. but with the release of the AF-S 50mm f1.4 in december, i'm having seconds tots. haha
anyone has an opinion on this? worth getting the AF-S version in place of the AF ones?
or anyone wanna reco. other brands as well? like the sigma 30mm f1.4 HSM.
