Btw, the 300+ topup is totally not worth it. U r being short changed alot if u take up the deal. Always look at bns section to have a feel of the market price before u commit to buying. :)

Yup yup, lucky i posted here and asked for advice, else I would have been a carrot haha!

I thought only Ms colour provided the 15 mth warranty cause among all the quotations given.. only they indicate it so i tot was a free gift by them.. haha

From what I know, It's either the 12+3 mth warranty from nikon or 12 mth from shop which means grey set.

No such thing as both provide warranty. Correct me if I'm wrong. Haha

Hi bros, i'm new here n learning. Got myself a D5100. I've got a question, what is the best setting for the pictures saved format? Raw? Raw & jpg? Or others? To be anle to utilise the functions like hdr etc? Thxs for the help....

Yes, you are right..!!

If the camera or lens is bought locally in reputable store and it is stated under Nikon Singapore warranty. The warranty period is 12 months for both camera and lens. However, if you registered your camera online in Nikon Club (BETA), you will get additional 3 more months and it applies only to the camera body alone, no lens.

When the shop stated 12 months store warranty, it should be a grey set and the store will covers the warranty instead of nikon singapore. So any problem, you have to head back to the shop for help.

Do you like to edit your photos? If yes, go for RAW. If you are as lazy as me, you can shoot JPG Fine L .

When i shoot human portraits, I prefer to shoot JPG as i trust the camera more. However, when i shoot birds, i would shoot RAW as the surrounding environment always fool my camera and i do not have the time to adjust my setting at all when on field.

Local set you can register in online at nikon website. And there's nikon warranty inside stated local warranty with shop stamp

Alright man luckyorange, thanks alot!

You are also a d5100 user?

Hi guys,
got another query that needs your advice!

I've been facing problems for my continuous shot for my d5100.. though it can go up to 3-4 fps, but when i shoot it shoots at most 1.5 fps even at high shutter speeds like 1/1000.. wonder if there is anything wrong with my settings.. care to share your settings?
Also, does the Class of the SD card play a part in the continuous speed, or does it affect the buffer top-up time only?

Was totally cui-ed when i saw the d5100 going at 3fps in this video : lynda.com tutorial | Shooting with the Nikon D5100—Continuous mode - YouTube

Thanks :)
