Thanks for the heads-up but yeah, don't think I want a grey set. Looking for a body-only coz I already have my lenses.

I just got an e-quote from MS Color for D5100 ($999 for 18-55 kit and 100 less if you want the body only. 8GB card and the bag is the give away with the purchase)
Planning to buy it from them in a week's time.

You cal always buy with 18-55 then sell the kit lens and buy 18-105 lens

Any outcome?

I encounter the same issue using the Tamron new 18-270 PZD when using live view for focusing but looks shape and taken shape if focus from viewfinder.

Other lenses including Tamron 28-70 on D5100 using live view focusing are as shape as it can be.

You might want to try that and share your finding.

I am bring down my camera to NSC, will see what can they do for me. If still can not then have to go Tamron service center (Changi!! FAR)

I just checked with my friend working at MS Color, she quote me the same but the bag must buy separately

I doubt other places also don't give much freebies right?
Is freebies like: Cleaning Kit, Screen Protector, Fliter, Tripod Stand, DSLR Bag .etc important?
Because this will be my first DSLR if i'm getting it...

Funan Mini Challenger give so nice freebies?!
MS Colour only give 8GB and a screen protector worth $13.90 -.-

yea me too!! a nikon bag would be vv useful! i don't mind paying abit extra for a screen protector. maybe i will go down and check it out again ltr, don't know if the offer still stands today.
