Yep. The 17-55 definitely more then sufficient can replace the 18-70DX.

IMM is at Jurong.

I guess the above does not mean for $$$!

One can get brand-new 18-70DX for around $300 in the CS-WTS threads!

The 17-55 f/2.8 is listed at $2,700!!

Also, if any further proof is needed that D50 & D70(s) are meant for the 'beginners' to DSLR, this is it... dun see any digitutors on that website for D100 or D2H :bsmilie:

There's 2 D50 (fresh from the box) to be tested and played with this sunday (10 Jul 2005) at IMM. There's an event going on this sunday known as Anugerah.

proudly sponsored some of the event prizes and will be loaning 2 D50 out for testing purposes for those interested in buying.

Additional equipment on loan are:

• Nikon Digital SLR D50
• AF-S 70-200VR f/2.8G
• AF-S 17-55DX f/2.8G
• AF-S 18-55DX f/3.5-5.6G
• AF-S 55-200DX f/4.5-6G
• SB-800 x 2

Interested buyers may proceed to IMM this sunday from 2pm - 5pm (with your own SD card preferrably) for trying out the camera.

I will be there (hopefully with some other NUF members) to help you
