you can come and look for me.

i'll give you the best deal ;)
oh yea. my name is bernice

Do drop by at the Nikon booth, i am one of the GUYS inside the Nikon DSLR booth. hehehehehe You can have a hands-on at the D40, D40X and D80. Feel free to approach us if you have any queries regarding those packages.

i bought my D40 in Dec 06 and upgraded to D80 in Apr 07 because i visit this forum too often,haha...the real reason is that i wanted to use cheaper 3rd party f2.8 lenses...

Just third party 2.8 lenses is already a good reason, and it is also important to me to be able to use Nikon's excellent non-AFS prime lenses, and other third party lenses etc.

there was a discussion about this before

but i do have a d80 and i do recommend it! tried the d40 and the only thing i like about it over my d80 is the weight of it. thats all. d40 feels like a bigger prosumer cam to me

The only reason that I bought the D40X is that I wanted a small and light body for travel without compromising the sensor.

Buy buy buy, COMEX is here!

i am considering to buy my 1st SLR. the d80 offer is really tempting. could members advise me whether i should hold off my purchase till the d300 arrive? I enjoy this hobby and try to put aside a few hours monthly to take pix. ;p

How would the D300 benefit you? What is your budget?

having a live view would help picture framing as well as my eyesight (see stars after squinting in view finder) and and the so called 51 af-pt may help get better pictures (i tend to take same pix with different settings). budget about 2.5k. I may wait for the d300 reviews and make a decision then. Photography just a hobby - very shiok to see pictures turn up right
