Oh yea before you rock your way down to buy the Tamron 17-50, bear in mind that there isn't any Tamron Service Centre in Singapore.
You will get warranty for the lens, but if anything happens, it has to shipped overseas for repairs.

Still, it makes a good lens.

Haa..Serious? Search through the forum (http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=166673) and found that some of them send it to MacPherson Industrial or tithes marketing at Kallang Pudding road for repair. Where is it actually?

Just to add on what calebk has said... a pretty good place to review the capabilities (contrast....sharpness...IQ) of lenses is flickr :thumbsup:
