Hi all bro here, as a true photographer can never mocking or teasing fellow photographer in a forum.I summited those photos is only test shot as i had to wait till on this coming May i am travelling to Xiapu(Fujian) for photography shoot with PSS(Photographic Society of Singapore)with some senior committe and i was one of them and preparing for International Salon compertition. Hence, i am still waiting for my MB-D12 battery vertical grip for D800 to arrive by next week. So therefore all those two Hi-end camera+one mid range and one D90(Converted into Infra-Red)camera were be on the go.

But as amateur, careful about showing off these top of the range expensive camera to your friends because their cheaper cameras nowadays are very good too. A beginner can 'accidentally' shoot better photos than the D4 on your hand if you are not careful or not daring enough to explore more creative composition :).

I disagree.

Regardless pro or amateur camera body as a starting camera, without posting and asking pros for opinion, you will nvr know or learn what's right and wrong in your shots. If that's the case, all newbie will be banned from buying pro-level camera, or else they can nvr post as they will be pick on by others becos they use pro bodies but produce crappy image..

We all go through the same learning process, the difference is speed. Some faster, some slower. But we all needs to know our mistakes and merits in order to improve, such that we can repeat and evolve the right stuff and avoid and innovate the wrong stuff we did. Just be more thick-skinned to critics.

I feel it has been like this all along, only that previously was any DSLR = pro while PnS = amateur. Since DSLR has become so affordable, the tier move up by 1 bracket these days.

Thanks bro,as i have to depend very much on the wheather there cos wheather can change less than 24hrs.:)

Ya, right, OK, good learning approach, always open to critics.

Everyone deserves a chance to learn.

Hi James,

Thank you sharing your shots. IMHO, you invited those comments, most probably unknowingly. Photography has always been a 'Skill Before Gear' and 'Creativity Over Technicality' hobby.

Being a slightly more male dominated hobby it tend to goes towards the gear and technical part, since guys love gear and technical stuff, so sometimes we post our possession all too eagerly sometimes forgetting about the Skill and Creativity part.

While I love LOVE gear and discuss them and the techniques passionately, I never ever want to list my gear list on forums, flickr or my website because in doing so people start judging me via my gear, which IMHO is self downgrading and self insulting.

I didn't know one have to travel to shoot good photos.

anyway, what gear a person use has no relation to whether the person is pro or not, neither is it a representation of the quality of their work. Neither does going on a photo-trip with PSS or preparing for any competition means anything about one's quality of work as well. If I remember correctly, if you pay steven the pricing he advertise, you can join any PSS trip...

If they are test photos say so. And even test photos, you can at least shoot it better... it doesn't take that much effort actually. And in the end, it comes round to affect your personal branding if you put out bad pictures (even if they are just test shots). And from my understanding, you are actually teaching photography on a weekly basis, it is wise to be a lot more careful about how you put stuff out on the internet, and how you present yourself.

I strongly agreed. Nobody is perfect.

Don't tell me that a Professional Photographer never make mistake & all their pictures are godly.....................:o
Taking photographing as a career & a hobby is totally different thing.

One shouldn't bother much about how nice or bad for a photo but learn & have fun ? Isn't what this hobby is all about ?

For those who aready got D3s so don't need D4 infact their performance are equal except that their design, button layout and shuttle sound is more quieter and softer in order to reduce vibration when in handheld on using continuous drive unlike D3s the shuttle sound may cause deafen my ear. D3s shuttle frame is make of metal alloy where D4 shuttle frame is make of carbon faber which the design is much difference from D3s. One thing i am worry that this carbon faber meterial can be brittle and may crack if i using too much continuous drive. Sorry to say that i need more than one Hi-end camera to backup for nature shoot. I may be wrong on this technical theory but pls correct me if there is any, thanks. :)

To be honest to say that while i teaching outdoor basic class student of 26 of them out of 4 using Hi-end camera and :)3 of them using Canon 1DX MK3 and 1 one them using Nikon D3s, what can i object about this nor i have any feeling about the difference from other student. To be true that this students they are Lawyer and doctor, the 3 of them using Canon 1DX MK3 are Doctor from NUH Medical research Dept for Macro works. The Lawyer using Nikon D3s also for macro works which use for investigation purposes, at the mean time, i need all this Hi-end camera for studying them and have better knowledge before students.

Nature shots use MUP instead of CL or CH.

I do hope you get your money's worth. Some of us prefer to go on our own.

Got $$$, buy both, no $$$, start saving and scrimping or change to a higher-paying job. Life is just that straight forward. ;)

You are right. We shouldn't mock other people. Especially those who displayed all 3 cameras at one go. And you are right. We should show our pictures to be fair...

Let me look into my photos... erh. Nope. Nothing i have that is worth showing. My apologies. Yes, please go ahead and show your three cameras. :)
