D300 Issues

Just realised that the exposure issue is non-existent. Its my own folly, I was shooting indoors under florescent lighting, thus at 1/250s, the exposures will all be different, due to the refresh rate of the tubes.

tested outdoors, all okay. :)

Recently bought a Sigma 150mm f2.8 HSM Macro lens from AP to be used with my D300.
Always encounter problem of battery indicator indicate low power and camera auto shutdown and restart when using. The power supply seems to be intermittent

It happened only when I am using the Sigma 150mm lens. No issue when I used my tamron 17-50mm and Nikon 18-200mm VR lens. I have tried using different battery either from MB-D10 with 8 2700Mah or EN-EL3e OR directly from EN-EL3e within D300...... but of no use

Is it something wrong with the Lens ? is it possible for the lens motor to short my D300... Can anyone advice ?:(

Thanks

this seems to be the usual problem that some D300 users are experiencing. And when they clean the contacts of the lens and cam, the problem goes away. The contact cleaner that a lot of people are recommending is called Deoxit. U can buy it from ebay or u can try Electrades Audio. www.electrades.com. It's in Adelphi. I did a search and they supposedly carry it, but better check with them to be sure.

I also read from Forum that the problem is common for Sigma Lens.... and I only have this issue while using Sigma Len .... May not be just connection issue . . . . . . anybody got any more comments ?
