You can always check the under "settings" which firmware has been loaded onto your body. If it says 1.10, then you're lucky - don't need to do anything.

any idea what role does the part A and B do?

My guess is that the A part which is bigger (or the other way round) is the actual firmware, while the B part (or the smaller part) is the settings by default. Whatever it is, by operating the camera on one part upgraded is by far, asking for trouble. I crashed my friend's D200 when updating his firmware, and fiddling around with the menu after updating the B part first, leaving the A part to later

I found that after the firmware update, the AF is more accurate. What I mean by that is that what used to be AF Fine Tuning at +10 is now at +5 to +7. I had to do a AF Fine Tuning with all my lenses again, and found that I had to adjust it to lesser amounts than before... and that is a change I've noticed.

so it was not just my imagination..haha...hai...have to go about doing it all over again then

Yeah, I should have check the settings myself. Btw, my camera already loaded with ver1.10.

Apparently I also notice the noise is increased after a firmware update.
I did a search and it seems that I'm not the only one who experience it.

hmm interesting
i didnt notice any diff however

So upset by it. Don't know what to do now.:cry:
Initially I was amazed by the silky, clean images even at ISO1000.
Now, noise is somehow obvious even at ISO400. I'm sure my images ain't underexposure.

That's the current firmware (Released on 27/10/08). Nothing new.

But I saw an update on yesterday's date on their website. So I thought there might be some new changes or updates. If you dont't care let it go loh.;)

What have I done? I was just pointing out that the firmware is still as current version.
Not to mean anything else:D
