keep it up and u might jus hit a big fat round!

after trying many settings, think the following suits me best:

custom
sRBG
mode III
normal tone
sharpness +1
saturation normal.

find that it is less saturated than vivid but still more pinkish. am realise more ppl that i shoot for prefer the more pinky kinda pictures.

not a magic number but one i am happy w. thanks to all who have contributed.
AdobeRGB looks pale and murky to me.

shall i close the thread or keep it running?

my settings:

custom
sRBG
mode I
tone either normal or -1
sharpness +1
saturation normal

i find that mode III is too saturated for skintone.

me:

shoot in RAW, everything else later. ;p

can't afford, no time for too much post processing
actually i find shooting in RAW saves me time in pp.

unless of course u want to shoot and totally dun even touch the image at all, then of course boh bian have to shoot jpg, u can't send raws to customers or for print. ;p

i do agree with you pp RAW can help to save time, but the RAW conversion to jpgs can kill ...

well, it could be my antique machine ... :bsmilie:

ar yes.. ahha.. no surprises why my new computer cost me an arm and a leg and almost had to throw in left testicle... :bsmilie:

Just asking...
If I shoot in aRGB and choose mode II (for images that will be edited), do I benefit from the wider gamut in Nikon Capture as well? Or do I only benefit when I'm processing in Photoshop?
