Thanks for the clarification. In that case, I have to ask the lab whether they are using AdobeRGB, and I will surely avoid those who use sRGB only, unless they are willing to use Adobe. This is just me of course.

i think wat u stated is not entirely correct.

for fotos to be printed, alot will depend on the colour profile of the printer too. not all labs are AdobeRGB color space.
if the lab u go to is sRGB, u will see difference in printing in AdobeRGB and sRGB.

likewise for big print companies who might work with only pantone or CMYK.

ken rockwell is correct in his assessment here, sad to say.

I shot on adobeRGB on my D200, and process to my satisfaction in Nikon Capture.
But once I load on a website eg. photo.net, the colours of my picture look different as compared to viewing on nikon capture and windows preview. Anyone know why?

colorspace used.
web mainly uses sRGB.

if one isn't that sure on color space and its usages(with printers, web... etc.)... jus shoot in sRGB.

that's right. or you can shoot in aRGB, make all your adjustments in PS, then save your JPG in sRGB.

shoot in aRGB (wider tonal range nad in sRGB), then edit in PS, after done with editing, save in sRGB. at least have wider range to edit with at the start.
