Yes, FOC on parts and labor. But if you dropped your camera and the lens broke or the casing damaged, it will not be covered under warranty. Cleaning of sensor is also not included in the warranty T&C.

ok noted. thank you...

so normally you guy extend the warranty or just stick with 1 year and 3 mth will do ...

IIRC, the extended warranty actually allows you to apply for extension 1 month before the standard warranty runs out. I'm hanging on till my 14th month then see how.

Price will be cheaper for doing it within one month of your registering online.

I sent in my 17-40 f4L lense to replace the "window" that show the focusing distance. It was scratched due to a drop during travel. They quoted me abt $60 replacement. In the end, it cost $10, plus they recalibrated the lense for me FOC. That lense already out of warranty.

So, I would say CSC experience for me so far is ....:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Oh nice. I'll go ask about it too. Have 2 scratches on the distance gauge window.

I guess you goton ask yourself how long you'll be able to withstand not upgrading your body. Spending that hundred or so bucks for the extended warranty, some would say they rather use that for other stuffs like lenses (of course for lens purchase you need to top up a bit more) etc.

It's like buying insurance la, you buy in the hope that one day you'll fall ill to use it :sweatsm: okok, not for those saving kinds.

Yeah, the term life insurance. Your premium will go down the drain if you did not die. :bsmilie:

Did they tell you what they have done to your 50D? Replaced anything?

Not unless you told them you dropped your 50D while eating a delicious buffet provided by Canon Singapore FOC last Saturday. :bsmilie:
