I suggest you go to the start of the thread, Hiap Guan Metals in Tagore Lane sells the Raleigh series at a very decent price.

Cheers.

Forget about Polygon.:thumbsd::thumbsd::thumbsd:
polygon bikes give you the best value for money. people dun like it cos it's Indon, the brand marketing wasn't done properly.

prejudice aside, if you are on budget, polygon is the one to go for, decent shimano parts for an affordable price tag.

where to find Indon? sorry for asking these, i have zero clue about bicycle..
know how to get on it and ride niah :embrass:

just contacted Hiap Guan, they only have pics to show, no physical product to see if we are comfy with the bike...

You can check out Rodalink for the polygon bikes.

At least 20 people kena in just 15 mins .. They dont even let of those fetching their kids or those who see them and move back onto the roads !

Basically there are no safe place in Singapore for cyclists to cycle.
Cycle on pavement, they say we are causing danger to pedestrains, kena summons.
Cycle on road, some pathetic drivers whose ego is as big as their balls doesn't give way, some causing accidental deaths.
Of cause, there are bad cyclists too who think they own the road, waving in and out of heavy traffic.
Guess the only place to cycle now is in the parks.
But wait, some people think they own the cycling tracks too, just take a look at East Coast Park on a weekend.

Lots of brainless people at the parks. As bad, if not worse than kerbs and roads.

yea they leave us nowhere to cycle but apparently those on the roads, no matter how they cycle wont kena summon 0.0
compared to those cycle on pavements

not true, i tink we are not allowed to cycle on the road if there are cycling tracks adjacent to the roads.

seriously i second this.. freaking alot of dam brainless people that dont know how to keep on their lane and keep left if they are just learning especially rollerblader, i met an accident late February at east coast park with a female skater that suddenly just come out from no where as i was cycling 35km/hr and unfortunately, my left handle hook onto her and i flew like superman from my bike causing a right fractured humerus ( the bone which connects ur elbow to your shoulder)

And she still can ask me if i needed an Ambulance when i told her i broke my arm.. in the end i missed this year OCBC cycle  which i quickly go register during November. In the end , casted for 2 months, than didnt recover, so doc gave me 1 metal plate and 6 screws grand prize. Now, im back on my bike and never will go East Coast park on weekends..

A lesson learned , a painful and suffering experience for the whole 4months injury period.

Hope bros out there do ride safely during the weekends..:)

bro...were you cycling in the park itself or the service road?

if you're cycling in the park, what were you thinking going so fast with such high density traffic...furthermore ECP is a leisure/casual park, not built for training

anyways good that u're back on the bike

Going at 35km/hr is way too fast for a leisure cycling track where there are alot of young kids and elderly. As for learning bladers who can't keep to their left, sometimes its really difficult for them to manuveur, especially if they are new to the sports. What really pissed me off are not the cyclists or bladers, but those pedestrains who think they god darn own the cycling track, some big groups even occupy both lanes when walking. I mean, come on man, the pedestrain walkway is just beside the track, why cause inconveniences to the cyclists and bladers.

Side note: Seems like more and more cyclists are coming into this thread. :D

Hello you have as much right to use the road as any other vehicle on the road..EVEN with a cycling path next to it. Though it is stupid for anyone to NOT use the path provided and ride on the road.

I agree with the first part of what you said but not the second. This is Singapore, i see joggers, pedestrains with pets and cyclists cycling abreast on all this "Cycling Paths" all the time and wherever i go so cycling on the roads are actually safer.
