So u have gotten the bike, which one, so fast want to chiong to Ubin, hehe.
I went to Pulau Ubin recently, there was an Ang Mo taking the same boat with us. He stood outside the cabin with his bike while we were seating inside. I dont know if there are any extra charges. For us w/o bike is $2.50.
I don't think I would want such a large bag on the front. I also have a recumbent trike fitted with front pannier racks and I don't like what the extra weight does to the feel of the steering - and the front pannier holders are down really low.
A big weight up high hanging off the front handlebars IMHO, would make it unpleasant to ride.
I'd stick with a small bag so you can't over load it

Safety first or following what you think you have to?
One can witness the lack of following safety rules (less priority)
while on regular cycling adventure at East Coast Park and along
the Changi highway.
Wonder if it is doing what is right with fabric headpiece
or put safety first with a cycling helmet especially cycling along
the main road? :think:

Most bike shops should have. Look for brands like Top Peak.
I wouldn't call a Hijab necessaryly incompatible with wearing a helmet to project the head. Could be a little tricky to secure the helmet, but I'm sure a little imagination could come up with something.
A Sikh Dastar on the other hand would be a little tricky to put a helmet over.
I've worked with some Sikhin a rail safety role in Australia with a tourist railway. They had decided to combine their head dress and the requirement for 'high visibility clothing', and worked with 'safety orange' turbans on. You couldn't miss seeing those guys.
Here is a simple way to carry your equipment on the bike.
A canvas camera bag can be attached to the rear rack along
with the tripod with strong rubber band available at most LBS.
Use plenty of foam to protect your camera and lenses.
Here a Gitzo tripod is attached to a double suspension MTB.
Enjoy riding.
Haha, bike plus human to ubin on the bumb boats costs $4.50
$2.50 for human + $2.00 for bike.
Track 15 is somewhere in mandai area i think. Tried that once long time ago when i went to bt trail. But now only frequent the trail in bt.

at the front you will have more than enough room to carry all
the necessary items for your shoot.
Here the hardtail has fenders (mud-guards), the broader saddle
allows more riding comfort especially for longer distance.

yea, its in mandai area at one end, zhenghua park at the other.
zhenghua entrace is near bukit panjang area, u'll pass thru the gangsa dirtjump hill area.

WOW!!!! :thumbsup: That is a lot of gear on a bike heh. My riding will not allow for that, things will be falling off all over when I start hit bumps on the train. Slow riding and with the main purpose to shoot photos...your setup is the way to go.
It is essential to bring along whatever necessary equipment to do the type of photography
you want. The tripod allows a Medium format or even a Large format camera to be
mounted.
So on a serious photography outing, don't leave your tripod behind. The trip is about
doing photography, enjoying riding at a slow space whiling feasting your eyes with potential
photographic subjects.
There are many other occasions where you can just put your P & S into a small
pouch bag and hang it around your waist. This way you are always ready with a camera
while concentrating more on your cycling activities.
Modern young parents are equipping their kids with bicycle riding skills.
They make sure the kids are having fun and that they are not hungry after
a long ride.
The child will appreciate a "yummy" chocolate, oatmeal or a
piece of banana after the ride.
You will be on the right path to start your young kid riding a bicycle.

you will soon be riding joyfully in minutes.
