HAha bro, i think if there's a passion in something that you do, an amount of money spent is "well-spent"!

I think i must have blasted more than 10K in both hobbies.. :dunno:

Heng still single. got family jialat man.:bsmilie:

lol, bro.... cannot put the amt here.... scally my mrs come in and spot check and cfm tonight no bed for me to koon.... lol...

pinholecam is a regular on Saturday.
I am non-regular :-p
Should be joining tomorrow Wednesday though, even if it's just to welcome back the snail queen.

If you are not regular no one is ;)

I'm pretty out of shape with baby duties. Now even 90km is a BIG problem :D

Anyone from Joyriders here? I am doing the wed morning longhouse and sat morning east coast group. Hope to see some riders here too. :)

I do the Sat 5am and the 6.25am 2nd loop up to Pasir Ris.
The guy with the Soul tri-bike.

Would anyone happen to know which MTB I can get with a budget of around $400, besides the Polygon bikes?

It is going to be used for casual riding on the road and as an alternative mode of transportation to and from my workplace, which is about 3 km away.

I am about 1.7 m tall.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the healthy world of recreation cycling.
When you cycle regularly very soon you'll be as slim as
me. Get to know the real benefit of regular cycling and
you'll enjoy your bike more.

You'll find a M size bike suitable. With your budget you can
get one from Giant, GT, Wheeler and Raleigh.

Make sure you know how to secure it well with a shackle
lock around the crank area. For details of locking your bike
go to www.sgcycling.org. :);)

If you are going to lock it in public view when you commute, then my advice is to get as cheap a bike as possible.

Good advice indeed, have two market bikes stolen,
each of them cost not more than $300.

One park just outside the HDB flat along the corridor
while the other one park in heavy human traffic
bicycle park inside a big shopping centre.

In both cases, the thieves cut the thick chain and escape
with the bicycle leaving the cut chain on the floor.

Anybody here taking part in the OCBC Cycle 2010?

i wonder ah .. the 40km challenge can wear ur own outfit ? anyone did that last year?

Better get one for your own safety.
It looks very disorganised/disrespect to cycling with
some riders not having a helmet but riding a good
quality bicycle.

Not to say the least, it is all about equipping for
this activity of riding on a bicycle. Anything can happen.

;)

Heavy traffic or no traffic it is all about how you
disciplined yourself when you are on a bicycle.
No negative thoughts and you'll be on the way to
enjoy every minute of it.

;)

Bro
Why not have it at the prata place?
Safer there la....
As mentioned, town isn't a safe place to cycle...
