CS Annivesary, RFSG Volunteers Needed

I've posted this on the RFSG FB group page earlier, gonna do it here as well:

Hey guys, I've just had a call from one of CS's guys.

Next month would be CS's annivesary. There will be a photo walk which I will be taking part in as a volunteer. The photo walk is organised by CS & the guys from ASIA aka Hardcore Street Photography

After the photo walk event, there will be a photo sharing session. I've been asked if RFSG would like to give a short presentation on what RF is about.
I could do a quick run through on what the RF system is about to the crowd but what I would need would be a couple of RFSG folks to come along, to actually show people what an RF camera is about.

That would be in short molesting your camera. Just to let them have a feel of the RF camera in hand, see how the focusing work etc.
Doesnt have to be your leica. Simple one like Ricoh, Konica, Fed, Olympus, Voigtlander etc.

Let me have a show of hands who would be interested. I believe it would be on 2 weekends. I'll pass on my details soon when I have them in hand.

For the moment, I would just need a show of hands on who is interested to share their RF camera experience by allowing others to have a feel of it.

CS has been a home for RFSG since we started, lets show some appreciation & support the event.
Dates are: 21 and 22 April

1. How long is the duration of the introduction to RF and the "molesting" of our cameras?

2. Any form of insurance to safeguard our gears in the unfortunate case that someone drops the camera?

If don't mind my humble setup, I can put up my Canonet and Bessa R4M.

Thank you for considering to volunteer.

I was told I would be giving a 20mins slot for a short talk & intro on RF. Lets say I could give a 10mins talk & another 10mins of "molesting" while the talk goes on.
CJ, I will be flashing your quick intro to So You Want To RF, is that ok with you? I think it is a good intro with pictures to give a quick in the nutshell crash course.

I'm afraid there wouldn't be any form of insurance to safeguard your gears, we would have to be responsible for our own stuff but what I had in mind, a couple of safe guards, was that, you don't freely pass your camera around.

Instead the volunteers would go up, stand beside the "newbie" & show they them the camera, how it works. Of course, for that day, please use a neck strap & insist they have it around their necks before even starting to play with it, so that way if............ it really slips la, still on the neck, camera wouldn't drop. I will emphasis before the molesting camera for the guys to be careful.

Yes, Cannonet & Bssa R4M is cool but bro, I think just bring one will do, hard 2 eyes to watch your cameras. Rather one camera would be better.

Thanks bro, very generous gesture from our veteran shooters!

but honestly I'll prefer to have a person there instead because although it is really a great kind gesture of loaning the cameras out, problem would be would be abit hard to keep an eye on your precious toys, wouldnt want anything to happen to them.
