yes it is for the gallery on www.redsports.sg and its is meant for selling to the people out there, if they want. Since the photographer is paying me, you got to follow what they want.
IVPs ain't exactly competed at a very high level so you've got to work even harder for the shots.
If the photos are meant for sale to the general public I think the quality is sufficient; otherwise they're really run-of-the-mill.
Cropping is way too loose and the angles are undynamic.
There are a lot of static 'action' points (steeplechase?, starting blocks) and they are really crying out for some remotes to be placed there.
#6 with the shadow of each runner and the curve of the track has potential but has to be shot at a higher vantage point (which if you do, may be quite nice but even then it has been thought of and shot before - so still cliche).
I'm pretty sure you'll say that it is not possible to shoot from a higher vantage point unless you sprout wings. Nothing is impossible, you just have to have enough imagination. And gear. Ditto unclean background.
i wouldnt think sellling off the images to just anybody would be a good thing. if the "featured athlete" was your own gf or sister... dont know if you still want to sell if off just like that or not, without a disclaimer or agreement signed.
