That's coz they only sell those overpriced Sony Carl Zeiss filters there. I recommend Hoya Zeta filters. I usually buy them on Amazon in Japan but I'm sure you can get them here too.

finally got my nex5n from sony wisma atria for $1299
got 2 8GB sony SD cards, sony carrying bag, neck strap, tripod and extra battery as free gifts ... btw can anyone recommend me lens filter for my nex ? i don't know which one to choose

Sony tampines 1 says they have no stock for spare battery for all Sony stores... how do you get yours? Are they lying?

Edit: just to clarify, I just wanted to ask whether wisma gave you the extra battery on the spot, cos tampines side claimed that there's no more battery for all Sony stores

Yup, on the spot. It just took some talking to get the HX MS instead of one of the SDs.

Also, you don't really need to go to a company store, the franchise Stony stores will give you the same deal and they still might have the batteries.

yap i got mine 5days ago... i think i got the last few pieces of battery ... there's also scratch and win lucky draw unfortunately i only got $30 voucher ... they are giving up to sony tablet and PS3

I don't mean retail stores like those, I mean Sony franchise stores not run by Sony itself. They're called Sony Centres here in Singapore. There are 9 Sony Centres in Singapore and 5 Sony Stores.

Battery has no stock though so it was indicated on my invoice for collection at a later time. The battery was offered only when I asked and the sales person included it IF I had paid by cash/nets.

Prior to my purchase, I had also visited the Sony store at Wisma. Terrible sales person there did not try to include the battery when I had asked. Tripod and 8gb SD cards were also not in stock. Was offered 1x 16 Gb card instead.

Anyway, happy with my 5N and raring to use it!

The Sony Centre at Suntec is very good from my experience, they usually offer good deals.

HORRIBLE price. Just go to the recommended shops instead. Horrible horrible deal.
