Courts selling NEX-5ND at $1299

It is not. But i am trying to say whether cheap or expensive uv filter doesnt matter if u cant understand.

I disagree with you on this. I had tried a Hoya HMC and Kenko Zeta on the same lens and camera for night shots. There's a difference.

That kenko UV filter that I got from HN is selling at $27.00. hopefully is not that bad.

Already fixed onto lens and don't really know to determine ghosting effect.

Good ! ...now just enjoy your cam and the pictures you will be taking instead of worrying needlessly about the filters

I think I need to update the thread.....I got my extra battery set from HN Sunday Morning 11AM and the sales person confirmed that there is no more extra battery around... probably I took the last one...but they do offer a good bundle price for battery if you top up a little bit. The price is still able to beat down all the famous camera shops around. I dunno I need to thanks HN or Sony this time. LOL

Anyone sending their nex5n to Sony service center to fix the clicking sound?

Any idea how long does it take to get it fixed?

Anyone registering to attend the free Sony complementary lesson?

Ya hor... haven't register the warranty yet.

LOL ! ...just brought my colleague to HN Hougang HOOT another set during lunch earlier !

He saw mine and could not tahan ! :bsmilie: (He has an A55 WITH CZ 16-80)

Salesman there tried to sales talk (pyscho) him into getting the 4/3 system but failed, the sales lady who served him says he got the last set of extra battery deal and thereafter all deals will have the spare battery replaced by another 16GB card.

actually Nex5n is very value for money!

waiting for adapter to come!

That lady is peter's wife ( north point HN)

I disagree. :) Loads of cheap filters show certainly more ghosting than without filter because they have a cheap coating. Of course that depends on your lighting condition.

I have experience what you saying specially when shooting at night with multiple lights you'll see ghosting see sample pix below shot using my 50mm f1.8 with cheapo UV filter see the blob of bluish-green these are reflection of 3 bulbs on the shop. This is reflection issue with those cheap filter w/o the filter some of the light that bounces out from the lens outer glass dont get reflected back. Thos cheap UV filter normally have one side coating or not to good coating thus it doesn't allow the light to pass but reflect back to the lens. creating this blob like thing on your photo. Also some UV filter will make the glare even worst...I remember me and my bro was shooting we are both using tamron 1750 I was using Sony and he was using Nikon we shoot the same scene with sun on the corner frame of the shot his got glare while mine was controlled. he was using cheap Uv filter and I was using then a better UV filter (wont say the brand as they dont pay me to do this lolz)

Will it be one of those slowmo class 4 SDHC cards?

I been playing with the camera and realized that Sony memory stick mark 2 registered the fastest writing speed. It is even faster than my toshiba 8GB class 10 and transcend 16GBclass 10. For both memory card I discovered a lag of 1-2 sec, however my current exp with memory stick is instantly without any time lag when I continuous press on the shutter button and just let it snap and record for 1min.

Anyone observe the same as me?

Yes... I did a Class 4 SDHC vs MemStick Duo Pro MkII and do the Continous Sport Mode (or watever it's called) and just press the shutter button. The Memory Stick just keep snapping at a constant rate. The Class 4SDHC after first 6 shots or so, start slowing down and pausing !

Yes, I totally agree, memory stick recording is faster and very consistent as compare to SD card. I have yet to try out XDHC scan disk video card.

Yeah I have the Sony MS HG PRO the one that comes with A33/A55 not sure what's the spec of that but it's not far behind of my SANDISK Extreme Class 10 =) Sony and sandisk seems to be good. My Lexar Class 6 chokes when i do panorama using my A33

Class 4 SD cards CMI when using with Sony's SLTs too slow for both burst/panorama and video.

What about the current SanDisk Extreme Pro SDHC UHS-I cards? UHS-I will be faster than class 10. Anyway, I doubt a Toshiba class 10 card is even in the same league than a SanDisk class 10 card.

sandisk used to perform faster than what they are classed at by various benchmarking but not sure if they still do now
