I actually did that last night and not that bad with the clicking...

Quickly test it at 1am in the morning to see if the video records any unusual sounds, that whats most important ...I'm not bothered if the camera makes a 'CLANK' sound when it's off !

Don't think u can find anymore offer as the offer was while stocks last. Was told the extra batt was leftover stock from previous roadshow.

But even without the extra batt, at 1219, it is still better than what the usual favourite retailers like slr rev/ ms color/ alan p/ cathay are offering.

The UV filter is meant to protect the front element of your lens. If you can't screw it onto your lens, it may be due to the filter diameter is wrong. Both the 18-55mm & 16mm kit lenses have a filter thread diameter of 49mm. Do take note that using an inferior filter will end up degrading your image quality.

I hope u got de correct size (49mm). If yes, then place it over de end de de lens and screw down.

so-so =) test is shoot at the lights see if it cast a ghost if it did buy a better one like B+W

It's probably the cheapest they were able to source. So expect more flare than without.

I have the Kenko Zeta protector on all my lenses, it's a really good one:

I don't like the idea of having a filter in front of my lens, a high quality protector is all I need. I don't think the German Filters from B&W or Zeiss are any better.

I find it very troublesome to unscrew the filter and put on the lens cover as and when I am not shooting. Most prob i am newbie and not used to the way how DSLR is used.

You can stiill put the lens cover/cap with the uv filter on the lens.
