Looks like you are buying, since there is a MB-D80 grip :bsmilie:

yeah man D80 looks solid, with grip some more....

any clues hows the price like ??...

D80 looks pretty good actually, shame its using SD, thats such a bummer IMO, depending on pricing will go for D200 still. The 70-300 looks good though, may have to upgrade the old 70-300G non ed, again, depending on pricing.

are u kidding me? :bsmilie:

still quite dark! 70-200VR f2.8 for me!!!:devil:

Read up on the link liao.. Seems that the top shutter-speed for D80 has gone down from 1/8000 to 1/4000. Although I think it wun really affect much as most wun use 1/8000.
The 3D Color Matrix Metering II evaluate input from the system's frame-wide 420-pixel sensor. This seems to be the same as the D50. D200 utilises 1005 pixel RGB sensor. They never mentioned anything about the top flash sync speed. But KRW mentioned in his website that the D80's top sync speed will be 1/250 sync speed, down from 1/500(D50, D70, D200). FPS remains the same as D70..

I saw this interesting part somewhere in the Nikon website
*Achieved under the following test conditions: Fully charged EN-EL3e battery; temperature of 20°C/68°F; Zoom-Nikkor AF-S DX 18-135mm f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED lens;

Pardon my ignorance, is there a 18-135mm DX lens or is this a new lens or a typo error?:p

Anyway it seems that D80 isn't really such a big jump over the D70.. If 1 day, I were to upgrade, think I will go for the D200..

Let's check our goodies bag before entering the stadium tonight ;)
