Cost Of Replacing Focusing Screen

Hi there people, I'm currently overseas at the moment, so not able to call back to Nikon Service Center to ask for quotation, does anyone know how much it cost?? Because I scratched mine quite badly while cleaning it didn't see that there was dust on the swab, and I was cleaning the focusing screen as there was dust on it... Anyone?? thanks

No, changing of focusing screen is not covered under warranty.

Cleaning of sensor is.

But from the pic u posted, the condition of ur screen looked pretty bad. Maybe the 152.25 included repair of other parts? :dunno:

moral of the story....

dont bother to clean the focusing screen cos it wont affect the image in anyway.

I spoil my grid focusing screen which cost $65 when i took it out for cleaning

Yeah, learnt my lesson as well.
Scratched mine when I was cleaning it.
But it certainly costs much less than $150 to replace it.
Can't remember the exact price but I got mine replaced for $40+/-.

My D70 focusing screen was scratched while cleaning, it cost me abt Myr$80 to replace it in KL. :sweatsm:
