Only diff I see is the slight overall colour tone to it, other than that, looks exactly the same

I have compared the histogram of one of the photo. The graph looks very very similar, not exactly the same because like what you said, the overall color tone is slightly different. The other photo I cannot compared because they combined 2 photo into 1 image.

Well this is really really disheartening man. It S U C K S real bad. Poor ethics, and cropping off watermark makes it a blatant disregard for ethics. Totally pissed....

Ya lo. As a photography lover, I don't think anyone wants to see their photo being stolen after all effort spent on it. It's like some stranger went into your newly renovated flat, sit on your comfortable leather sofa and use your hundreds of dollar cappuccino machine without asking you.

2. Decide how much you want to charge them for using your photo.
3. Prepare a letter of demand for that amount, and send to them.

The least you can hope for is that they remove the pictures.

3. Prepare a letter of demand for that amount, and send to them.

May I make a small tiny request to the moderator? Can help me do a sticky or maybe just a simple thread to warn the clubsnappers here about this website because there are tons of photos in their website which obviously are not taken by the same photographer because different style, since they can steal my photo, I am sure, the other photos on their website, they mostly didn't ask permission for. Just for awareness.

- post only smaller and low res images

- large and visible watermark across the entire images

I have since disable the download high res photo on my flickr. So, the most the thieves can do is right click and save the low res photo. Now I know why some people put watermark in the middle of their image. Its my first time encountering such thing, last time 1 of my photo was used as a cover of an online journal magazine but at least the people asked my permission.

once people can view your high res photos, the photos already lie inside their computers, all they need to do is find where are the photos located inside their computers.

The photos I posted on flickr is about 3mp. Perhaps I should reduce to just 1mp.

wow after seeing such rampant stealing I have now disabled downloads features on flickr also I am planning to place some watermarks somewhere in the middle of my photos. I am not saying I have very good photos but who know they might decide to use my ugly photos for thier benefits :-(

You are being modest . After what happened, I was thinking if I should put watermarks in the middle too. Was thinking in future I export (using LR) 2 version, 1 1mp with middle watermark for posting onto flickr and 1 max mp for my own keeping.

Disabling downloads from flickr won't help. What I do is reduce to 800 pixels on the long side, before uploading. Flickr displays 640 pixels on the long side (I think).

Ya, I realised that too. I was thinking the same too, making my photo as small as possible before posting on flickr, the most is I keep 2 version in my HDD, 1 version for flickr with watermark in the middle and 1 version with full res with watermark on the usual bottom right and not posted anywhere, just for keeping.

did you try post in their facebook questioning them using your photos and remove your signature without your permissions?

I did. I sent them an email and on their facebook. I tried not sound too forceful first. Just want to see what they say, if they politely remove my photos, then fine. If they don't care and still want to use, then I will see what action I can take. I managed to contact William Cho from that Ink Global issue, he gave me some advised on it. I shall see how they response first.

Like 1 of my colleague who is also a photographer just said... "I wish my photos are stolen by people too", haha.

Anyway, I hope they can settle this like gentlemen, the very least credit all the photographers for every photo they stole.

I dont mind sharing my photos to other with or without compensation just be kind enough to let me know and maybe just acknowledge me as the photographer will do =) But like I dont have such nice photos for others to steal in the 1st place hehehe

Same. That time, an online journal magazine asked my permission to use my photo as cover, I didn't even mentioned money, I simply asked them to credit me as the photographer and they were to happy to do that. :bsmilie:
