Coming from the horses' mouth. So it's very true.
problem arises when u have to avoid certain angles due to the couple's features...

Keep shooting and look for inspiration from others. Posing of couples can be at times difficult bcos most of them have nv do any posing before. So you have headaches. Dunno how to pose means they will be unnatural and awkward.
So you become an art director + photographer in one and on another part, you need to think think think.
Just to add.. UWA shots are stunning but have to rmb who's ur intending subject. All the other things in frame are just supporting casts. =)
That's my 2 cents of thots. Different PG think differently. Just be daring and go out and try and experiment.![]()
Ohh... Final sem?
My ortho appt is in Apr.
I just found out that stacking ND 4 & 8 gives a super strong red tint. Faint..
Eh, get the B+W ND110... $135 from mass sales.![]()
Thats one of the main problems I have with the filters...
I don't think I have time to get my filter at the moment, cos I'm flying back to Sydney next week :bsmilie:
btw, u guys using filters hor, (esp those who just goton new ones!), which filters (except CPL cuz i sold it), would be essential for landscapes and/or cutting light for sun-related kind of shots leh.. hmm.
I kind of got frustrated with the adapter holder - tianya kind as it appears in my 10mm wide!! had to hand hold them while i do my shots. So now i'm decided, will get the screw on types instead!
Am thinking of :
1 X GND (B+W)
1 X ND4 (hoya? b+w?)
1 X ND8 (hoya? b+w?)
think total pocket damage quite a bit..
Should suffice for now lar hor? Will plan for a B+W ND110 last!![]()
Go for B+W if you can. Not sure if JYC distro has the stocks in for their slim CPL and ND filters already.
hiak. if budget allows bah. since i really lovee scapes. JYC is the new brand ah.. after my phottix filter got scratched (and can see multiple colour coated lines), eii, quite reluctant to go with new brands ;p
hmm, now i have to consider that if i get the screw ons, i can't stack!!
Yah, JYC is the new brand. Cheap and it is slim filters. Ryan has bought the JYC UV filter. I'm waiting for the distro to revert on the rest of the prices.
I have the ND4 non-slim for my 18-200 72mm dia and works pretty well for sunset. Have not tried ND8 yet. Maybe, Ryan can give you some inputs.

Little tip for those that want to salvage the tianya magenta tinge. You can use adobe photoshop auto colour correction to salvage abit.
B+W nd110 makes the photo abit warmer though but can be corrected easily with lightroom and a raw file.
Practice shots from lower seletar.
Can change the WB in-cam 1st?
Wat thing appears? Red tint for stacking?
Btw, these filters r part and parcel of a landscape shooter.
GND, ND2 (B+W equiv is ND101), ND4 (ND102), ND8 (ND103), ND400 (ND110)

I saw the red tint so I thot wah, isn't that infrared. Haha! :bsmilie:
ei, not just the red tint, but i can see the adapter holder on both sides of my frame!! :sticktong pek chek when i wanna do 10mm la..
i might just do a GND (b+w since can't find hoya), ND4, ND8 (both hoya ebay) and later a b+w ND110 :sweatsm:
