wat ur budget?? Manfrotto or gitzo CF for u?:devil:

Well, I don't really have budget as yet, but I'm hoping to cap it at $200++ max, cos I have other stuff I want to get.

@Yoh...

Sigma 30mm in Thailand is about $725 before VAT deduction by cash, which is about 17,260 baht (exchange rate SGD$1 : Baht$23.81). After VAT deduction claims at the airport will be $683.50. Prices I get are from MBK shopping mall.

CC rates there are not attractive.

 Not quite attractive I guess.

SLR revolution selling sigma 30mm at 715 I think.

but the lens is attracting your attention for its bokeh... wont u think it is attractive?

Hi guys, i need some advice on some Post Processing software.

Have been looking into the following.

Aperture 2 - $298 (Student rate)

Light Room 2 - Costs a bomb (No more student discount :()

Photoshop CS4 - Free (From School)

Would photoshop be sufficient enough? I know photoshop is more for general purpose. Would it be easy to use?

Thanks:D

Err.. I use lightroom 2 and photoshop I think lightroom is good for quite tilts and adjustments using clarity, hue sat vibrance and fill light.. but seriously.. photoshop is insanely much better and you'll be more productive with it. That being said lightroom is a nice organiser. =)

I see, thanks. I will try LR2 on my friends computer first. See how it goes. Else i'll just use the CS4 from my school.

Thanks.:)

1. photoshop is good enough for hobbyist.
2. LR vs Aperture - basically this is more to digital image management. of course there are some added features in these DIM which photoshop can also do.
for DIM, it is all depends on you.

if i were u, i would get the photoshop only, foc somemore! as long as u have a proper system of your own, u dont need either LR/Aperture.

:bsmilie: It's only attractive if you are getting more than 2 lens (can bargain further) + having loads of thai baht + having the ample time to check in for VAT rebates. ;)
