4 for 430EX, 4 for 580EXII = 8 batts

For your upcoming batt pack will use 8. So technically, just nice. I guess it's a 50-50 for you. Probably if you want to be kiasu, get 8 more as spares. :bsmilie:

I'm having 4 set of batt nw but it seem that the batt life die fast. 1 set of gp2700 finish in half day for my 580exii.

For me, I may be buying 16 pcs of eneloop or more. 8 more for my 580ExII, 6 for my BG, totalling of 14 already. If I'm to buy another 580ExII, I'll need another 4 to 8 pcs more.

If got budget then get 580EXII, once and for all settle. Perhaps down the road, a better flash pops up then consider but flash models doesn't come as fast like those consumers' PNS.

That's one of the reasons why I'm thinking of getting it. I'm finding it useful to have an external flash to shoot indoor events. I tried a friend's flash for a time while shooting an event, and now I want to get one :bsmilie:

i would suggest u go for fast charger so that u are able to charge most of the drained AAs. Maha charger (8xAAs) comes with batts as a package. take a look at www.eastgear.com

The 8xAA Imedion + 1hr charger deal seems good. But the price is a bit expensive. :bsmilie:
