sling bag - easy access to your gears. very taxing on your shoulder.
backpack - gentle on your shoulder and since it is a backpack, u can carry more things and for a longer period. problem is to access to things while u are on the go.

the above aside, if u think u gonna grow your gears then it is wise to get a bigger bag.

maybe wanna just get paddings to put in any bag. that way when you go travelling

1. it won't be to obvious
2. you can customize to how big/small/no. of slots.
3. cheaper.

Very true.

Nike just release a new bag. It's very very spacious. Buy a few paddings and it will become a camera bag that doesn't shout camera bag AT ALL.

It has a 15" laptop compartment + 2 huge & deep compartments for daily stuff (can convert 1 to house your camera equipment) + 2 bottle side pouches (1 is thermal for cold/hot drink) + MP3 compartment + many small compartments for other stuff.

All of the above at $129. :bsmilie:

I might get 1 bcos I need to lug my lappie to school and now using Crumpler Considerate Embrassment is stressful on my shoulder.
