Today just went to one of the most reliable camera shop at JB.
I just know that Canon Malaysia is offering 3 years warranty for online registration of the camera gears.
This is applied to all the camera bodies and lenses that are purchased before 2010.
7D will most likely available in JB around 10 Oct and the price is about RM6000 with 3 years warranty.
Seems like it is a good deal.
17-40mm F4L is about RM2700 also with 3 years warranty, a good deal also.
Tempted to get the 17-40mm F4L to replace my tamron 17-50mm F2.8....

I remember people always said 3rd party lens do not have value in resale compare to original like Canon and Nikkor lens. But I do see the value of 3rd party lens is there, it is always quite near to the market price for a new unit.

depend on simi lens and condition of it mah..
some 3rd party lens often sought after by ppl...so the resale value wont drop much lor.

Tokina 11-16 f/2.8
Sigma 10-20 f/4-5.6
Sigma 12-24 f/4.5-5.6
thumbsup: for FF especially 5D2)Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 (VS version is out.)
Some of the Sigma's primes have good reselling value too.

this lens tends to have front/back focus but that doesnt mean all sigma lenses are bad.
so far, i think this is the only UWA for FF, downside is the aperture of 4.5-5.6.

Aperture compensate by boosting up ISO for the correct shutter speed then do NR in-cam or software loh. :bsmilie:
But kinda true lah.. would have prefer a thinner DOF.
