Is it important to register (Warranty) Canon product immediately on purchase on can delay? Warranty card mention no date of purchase.

your thoughts please.

registration can be delay, i did last time.......but i was stupid cos got people actually registered a dishonest date :mad2:, & there are so many didn't event register their products.

Can delay, the date should be on the receipt. You can register, within 30 days. I asked canon before, but the date must be reflected as the receipt.

GMAN

last time i registered back dated 2-3 months, no question ask.

Got a question peeps!

I'm intending to do some BBB soon at the end of the year.

So i'm contemplating on the following lenses. Some of you might have know i asked this before for my Tamron option, so hope you don't get annoyed, because i used that moolah to get my imac:bsmilie:

Option A:

EF70-200mm F4 IS + 17-40mm F4L

-Affordable, plus might have some extra cash to get a 430EXII

Option B:

EF 70-200mm F2.8(Non IS) +17-40mm F4L

-About the same price as the Option B

Option C:

Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 + Tamron 70-200mm F2.8

-Considering, though, i'm eager to get my first L.:bsmilie:

The problem is that Option C is clear cut for me, but in Option A and B, i'm a little confused. If i get the 70-200mm F2.8(Non IS) is it worth it. Does IS really matter, because i can increase my shutter speed by having F2.8 aperture. Or should i just get the 70-200mm F4, because i might be able to have a flash on as well. I'm kinda confused among this two. The prices of the lenses are pretty close to each other.

Option C is for if things don't go well.:bsmilie: I've already researched alot on these two before so no worries.

Thanks guys

Ooh, because i called them when i got my DSLR, was very tired after working, so i asked if it's alright to register a few days later. The lady said it was fine but should be done within 30 days and the date should be of those reflected on the receipt. Yeap, i dislike dishonest people too. Heard canon is coming up with a new system for warranty claim, that requires the proof of purchase.

Same problem i had last 5 weeks, in the end this morning I got the EFS 17-55 and 70-200 F4. with my Toki UWA, i guess i feel complete now.... i hope.

IMHO go for Option C. Canon 70-200 f2.8 IS is just too heavy. And the 70-200 f4 simply is not 'fast' enough.

I only use the Tamron 18-270, Sigma 70-200 f2.8, Canon 10-22 and if to buy another lens I would consider 50mm f1.8.

I have the 50mm f1.8 already. My option is the 70-200mm non IS version. Haha.

Hmm, that's a good combo too. But the 17-55mm, is about the same price as the 17-40 F4L, why you didn't get that instead?

Haha...i'm thinking of that too. Haha. But i like zoom shots, so, i prefer my zoom lens to be on most of the time. Haha.

Bro Ardaan did wonders with the Tamy 18-270mm, but need lots of practise and follow his style ... the 'Crouching Tiger Hidden Canon'.

Ok la.. I was worried the 70 200 f4 would be slow but with some iso bumping.. you can still get some frozen motion shots in a worst than good lighting.

ISO 1000, focal length 70, F4.0, Shutter 1/500

Well Tamron 18-270 is 70mm longer :D and at 200 mm it is also around f4-5.6..so not much different.

Of coz if compare about quality then the L lens should be superb. But my naked eyes still can't see the different in quality unless I compare with the 70-200 f2.8 IS.
