Yupp, option B seems nice, but many asking me to swap 17-40L with 17-55mm. IS is an advantage, but back then when i used SLRs and normal flim camera, where in the world did i have IS? Just me and my bare hands, using my Lecia or Minolta.

I cannot one, i still make time to pop the cover back, just not so slowly. Just put them on quickly and go. Then later i sayang my gears by cleaning them up, polish, let them air for a while, then back into the cabinet. Then about an hour before i leave for picture taking, i just pack back my gears and go. Haha:bsmilie:I did that also when on assignment. I just throw everything into the bag without front and back covers..no time to dress them.

1. Sayang the gears, missed the shot and get scolded + lose any future assignments
2. Abuse the gears, got the shot and get commended + future assignments

nope, your guess was wrong.
i dont intend to package the filter in the sale as it is kinda difficult to find.
Still confused over Option A or B. Hmm....
Thus i made a price break down to see the differences. Prices are estimated with the closest ones i can find on the Canon Price list Sub Forum.
Option A:
EF 17-40L + EF 70-200mm F4L IS + 430EXII
$1160 + 1900 + $480 = $3540:bigeyes::think:
That's alot for option A, might have to do without the Flash.
Option B:
EF 17-40L + EF 70-200mm F2.8
$1160 + $1980 = $3140
OMG, Equally expensive...:bigeyes::dunno:
Option C:
Tamron 17-50mm + Tamron 70-200mm F2.8
$650 + $1460 = $2110
Affordable....hmmm.:think: I can even add along a 580EXII
Option D:
EF 17-55mm + Tamron 70-200mm F2.8
$1550 + $1460 = $3010
Hitting the reserves a little.....
Option E:
Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 + Sigma 70-200mm F2.8
$830 + $1550 = $2380
Affordable.....can consider a 430EXII along as well.
Man i'm darn confused. My maxmium possible budget is withing $3000, don't want to spend too much. About $100-$200 more i don't mind. Any advices? Option A is over budget. Well, i shall aim for option B mean while.

Wow! you to buy all these lense.You've to eat bread and water everyday,my friend.Some more bread is not cheap nowsday. 1 loaf of bread can cost you $1.85/-.Can last you about 1 week.
