Help!

I have about 20 laser Discs ( Karoake ) that I wish to convert to DVD.

Unable to find a local business that provides this type of service.

Also try to convert Laser Discs on my own but unable to find good operative DVD Recorder/player in the market.

Any suggestion or solution to this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Hope to hear some news soon.

A dvd recorder can't do the job as it does not write to recordable dvds only to hard disks. You need dvd authouring software which normally is included if you buy a video capture pc card.Do the neccesary readup and reviews of which card and supplied software
that is cost effective. The card has inputs for video sources. Hope this helps.

Most likely it wouldn't help you much even if you have ripping/editing software. Karaoke LD comes with three tracks, video(analog), voice(analog)and music(digital). After ripping it into DVD, I think all tracks are recorded as one one track in DVD. You can't attenuate the singing voice when using DVD. Unless otherwise, the ripping/editing software has the capability to do so...

Thanks JJFAM for your response.

Actually I only record music track ( no singing voice ) on DVD. I have done it successfully by linking Laser Disc player to DVD Recorder/ player.

But now my DVD recorder is non-operative and I cant get another unit ( used or new ) in the market. Do you have such a unit ? Contact 81252810 Sengkang resident.

I have never use the PC/ Video card,so I am not sure whether I can rip only the music file for burning on DVD.

From LD player to DVD recorder is direct analog recording. DVD recorder is discontinued, may be you can try your luck at SIM LIM Tower/Square.

Wow your laser disc player still running?
