My friend has a Canon 0.95 lens and he wanted to use it on M camera.

Is there any repairman in Singpoare doing this? I tried to google and only found some guys in US converting these lenses.

Thanks!

Nobody did this before? :( How did you get this lens working on your M?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can. As you have said it... someone is converting it in the US. But I don't think anyone is offering the service to do it on this small island yet.

Anyway, unless you absolutely want to mount it on the digital M8, it would be cheaper and safer to just get a Canon 7 and work with this 0.95.

I use mine on canon 7.. works great :p

have one that has been done by Steve from camera care. focusing is very off . On M8 no problem , as long the lens is sharp. RF offset can guess by looking at the dof scale. Near , offset more.. Far , less.. somemore digital can see on target or not.

nordleadx, when you said that focusing is very off on your 0.95, is it after returning from Steve? Cos I have a 0.95 with him right now getting a conversion to "M" mount and your comment just made me really scared! haha, its ok with your M8 though? I'm shooting digital too. Oh, and when you say focusing is off, what does that mean actually?

The RF coupling is off... Sending to Don is the best for the job.

Well, I think that although everyone says that DAG is the best for this M mount conversion, everyone also says that it takes a long time and hard to get a reply. I've read another thread on this forum saying that it took him 6 months and numerous long-distance phone calls to the states before he got his lens back!

My lens is currently being worked on by Steve and I must say, communicating with his is fast and easy. Email any question to him and he always answers within a day and he emailed me the work order before I sent it the lens to him, he emailed when he received the lens and I told him to email me the day he sends it back to me, which I have no doubt he will. His turnaround is only about 5-7 days which is unbelievably fast compared to DAG. I think the peace of mind knowing what is happening to my lens is worth more then RF coupling off, which is not his fault cos he can't align the lens to your camera, I think I will get the alignment done locally if the focus is indeed very off. Not a problem. Oh did I mention he will clean the elements, service the helicods and aperture assembly for free?

Just my 2 cents.

thats what he told me :p

gd luck, looking forward to ur pics ...;)

Yup, thanks. The lens I sent him doesn't click stop for the aperture ring, but he said he'll fix that. So if it comes back and aperture clicks, then yeah I guess he is true to what he says. We'll see! haha Will update when I get it back
