Halo.....this my company ad concept ah.... :bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

NKF should change it's name to PKF - Peanuts Kidney Foundation.

the use of the word "National" in its name implies that it stands for the ideals and backing of all singaporeans. however, NKF has dragged its name through the mud in this court case and by association, disgraced the name of Singapore. moreover, it has not apologised to singaporeans for this debacle.
in our minds and hearts, it is no longer a national institution.

charity organisations should be judged on their ROD - Return on Donation (i.e. percentage of donations actually going to the needy).

any charitable organisation with an ROD of less than 70% should be closed down immediately.

And those people who needed the help.....goes to who for help??

Let's not take this too far. The intention is good, and the help is provided. Of course, we would love to see more being provided. So it boils down to the organisation. Can they run the charity better and more efficiently? We should not hurt those who need the help. What they need is volunteers...

If each poster here can volunteer 3hrs each per month, they can probably reduce the number of headcount of paid staff. More importantly, if a CEO VOLUNTEERS instead of being salaried, I think we can use the extra $$$ to help more people.

Suggestion:: Since the MPs are already paid million dollars, why not have each of them take turns to run NKF for 2 year each as their second appointment?

the ROD prevents the charitable organisation from abusing public donations. KDF are already achieveing an ROD of 85%. why can't NKF do the same?
a little less greed and a little more heart goes a long way.

of course charity should be done out of goodwill. That's why so many people donate to charities, it's never about challenges.

...

And i can never be a giver. I admit whatever i give, i make sure i take back in other forms.

...

oh yeah! i do get comforted by the fact that people are well paid for the efforts they are giving everyday.

I assume these were meant as a joke right? Because charity and trade are very different and what you've just mentioned is trade. If I'm not wrong, charity is giving without expecting anything in return. Even recognition is optional.

Guess we won't see this happen again to SPH
On the contrary, Durai owes each and every Singaporean one such notice.

Ahem!

Call me dumb! Call me ANYTHING!

But I just do not understand the stand by people like Adam Goi and Nisa. Somepeole have money to throw. Others want theirs to be used well.

I am not questioning their motives, which are highly commendable.

I just do not understand how their logic work. Or maybe I do.

i have my doubts too, your charity dollars will benefit other organisations better and wasting repainting, expensive toilet fittings, court cases and expensiive airline seats...

Don't forget cocky, vindictive and arrogant CEO. I hope I don't get sued by this but this is how I perceive his character when he mumbled "good luck" and when he tried to sue all these people.
