Wonder if we can cancel our donations done over the weekend during the charity show. Any idea folks?? I am thinking of calling up singtel and tell that I will like forfeit my donation. If they dont agree..... I just cancel my subscription with them!!!

Best of all...when u call for donation, singtel still charge some kind of fees right? :dunno:

The real losers in this incident are the patients who need the subsidised treatment. The public donations may drop but the salarymen will continue to get their pay cheques. Will NKF use or not use public money to pay for the costs of the lawsuits? I hope the NKF Board of directors will come out to clarify. Let there be greater transparency and accountability in future. It is an honest mistake worth learning from. Let us all sought to forgive and forget NKF and move on for the sake of the patients it set out to help.

If by boycotting NKF and not donating to the patients, you are deprieving them of their treatment. At least under NKF, they still get partial funding.

Sorry you can't. Because the system have already logged your contribution and they wouldn't cancel for you without a valid reason. Reason given by NKF to my wife whom mistakeningly called the 7 calls number and ended up have to pay $150+ for her mistake and an unaccounted for call on an early morning 2 days after the program.

We are so pissed that we cancel all giro deduction the very day.

Yes. ALL Telco will charge you an admin charge of $0.20 ea call.

The more I read about how kidney patients are rejected by NKF because of some stupid rules. I get Disgusted. The more I read about patients have to foot $34 million for dialysis while NKF gives only $7 million I feel more DISGUSTED!

I feel that NKF's CEO should get his bonus and whatever perks that is promised to him. When he took a job in NKF, it's just another job. With his abilities, i am sure he can find a job whereby he gets more money, fame as well as benefits than what he is getting in NKF. Not that i am bashing any other organizations, but I have to admit that NKF is the better known charities in Singapore. I am sure we can put any CEO who are willing to get peanuts or even no pay for the job, but the question is would they do as good a job as him? Personally, looking at most of the "non-profit-depending-on-the-public" organizations, i don't think so.

as for churches, temples, etc...it is their members who should be concern, n if im not a member, its none of my business.

Well, if he is willing to take the money while those he is supposed to help suffers, I hope he sleeps well.

As for doing a good job, I can hardly think he can do any worse now.
