no pun really, but short of saying Y*S, do anyone wants to try a hand at tackling this?..

if that's the way things work for you, i have nothing to say. i have personally been involved in charities that do much more and don't relly on business attention to get things running. period.

Results, Results, Results, that's all that matters to the patients and their loved ones. Yes, I know about the KDF, and I respect the dedication and selflessness of the staff in that organisation. However, when you get to a certain scale, that business model falls down. If you want to be an organisation that supports thousands of dialyses a month, you need a certain hard-nosed business attitude, which is what the NKF has. The problem is that in the "charity" busines, it rubs people the wrong way.

I won't stop donating, but after today's reports, I'm writing a strong letter to that organisation for sure.

I am looking for efficiency because ITS MY MONEY! If efficiency could be improved, more patient will receive larger percentage of the donation dollars. That' what I call results.

I am okay with the corporate style of running the Charitable Organisation but tell me a CEO of any company receiving a 12 months bonus this few year?? I don't mind a certain "hard-nose business attitude" in a crusade about educating the public on kidney problems and gathering funds for helping the patients but 12 month bonus of 25k a month??? *Sign~~*

Sorry I just don't have your faith that one letter will change anything, nothing less than a public outcry.

Come on you guys. You are not just born yesterday (are you?). With a Big Pie like this one, do you think it won't shared among the people who involved in this show? And NKF can build an office 15 storey high? Think about it dude. ;)

But, I did donated more than a hundred S$ just from my heart & that ends the story. ;p

IMHO.. if ever anyone read..

We are looking at a Charity and not Commerical Organisation. Money are donated and not earned.

If we think the the CEO has done a good job running NKF like a commercial entity, and deserve the big paycheck/bonus, 1st class flight, gold toilet bowl, then..

Stop encouraging people to scarifies their time and effort to do voluntary work.. they should be PAID!

Stop asking the patients and family to show face on TV and share their sad stories, they are the CUSTOMERS of the organisation. They need the PRIVACY too, not only the CEO.

Stop asking for blood donation, Blood cost money to make too! PAY for it!

Stop asking me to be kind hearted.. its the CEO's job to generate income for the needy, not ME!

Isn't this how business world work?

What more important than your soul? ;)

is posting a financial report adequate? is a financial report without adequate details therein where needed considered transparent?

the question before the court is is ST justified in making those report? i feel it is too early to judge.

They are transparent, they posted a financial report.
ST suffers because there are half truths about the report.

How about looking from the perspective of the patients.

I have no idea about hte policies about who gets funding from the NKF and how much they get from the dialysis.

On a national basis are all kidney failure patients subsidised by the NKF?

If every person suffering from kidney failure is able to get treated and continue with a resonable standard of live then kudos to NKF. They really did a good job....

Otherwise, more can be done from the money donated by the public to help these people.

the issue at hand is transparency and accountability. the issue is not his leadership and capability at nkf, the quantum of ceo's salary or bonus, gold plated tap or bowls or first class business travels.

if you check with most charity organisations not a very big part of the money donated goes to the people you're supposedly donating to

charities also have always had abit of a problem with transparency, for good reason. all around the world alot of people seem to assume that donating $10 to a charity means that almost $10 will go to feeding the sick needy starving poor etc etc etc. If all charities were openly transparent I'm sure most people wouldn't even bother donating

the CEO getting that much money may seem morally incorrect, but without this CEO i'm not sure if NKF would have been able to become the entity that it is now and have organised the shows that get people calling in and donating....

Just think about it. Why this kind of show is getting more & more often nowadays? Sure there's good $$ involved, right?

My first question would be why? For administrations?
My second question would be, why do we need so many different organisation with different administrations then? Create jobs?
