Considering whether to get canon 17-55mm f2.8

I searched thru Clubsnap but there are not many threads on children photos. Maybe is demographic issue. Maybe you start one and tell me you start in which section. Then i sure join in.

I got trouble knowing who replys to me in clubsnap. Is there a button like: check latest reply?

I really like the bubble pictures. Must have been hard to take considering all the movement by the subject!

Just get the best canon EF-S 17-55 for crop body, so you will not think of upgrading again.

Go rent it then you will know the difference. The best is try out yourself.

Sigma 17-50 OS HSM is another option you can check out. Relatively cheaper than the Canon, but IQ is close to the Canon, OS (optical stabiliser) claim to be 1 stop better than the Canon IS (Image Stabiliser). Make sure you test the lens thoroughly before purchase as Sigma lens may have problem with quality control
