Considering Panasonic TM300

1. must remove the battery to plug-in the DC input

This is to protect the data from corruption when batt level is low whule u doing transfer.. also to prevent times when some blur ppl that plugged in the batt AND the power DC in all together..

I think overall, the TM300 is not something that will do much better then the canon or sony (but it hv some advantages over the rival on certain aspect) .. know what each model is strong at and see if thats what u want...

in terms of pricing, its mostly canon vs panasonic... since sony of similar competiting model is more expensive..

The TM300 sounds exciting. Do you know whether the TZ7 or TM300 produces better quality video? Thank you.

TZ7 is a still digicam... definitely wont be as good but then, to many.. its good enough..

actually if i just want something "more then good enough" video, these digicam with 720P (esp now with AVCHD lite) is really suitable..

Hi there,

Just registered in the forum, wanna ask what's the experience of using the ntsc model so far?
I checked this model in both courts and best denki. They are quoting $1999 ! I looked up pricejapan and it is only $1150 including shipping. Almost $850 difference! :o:o:o:o

I have to add that Best Denki is adding some extras that I don't need, like printer etc. They don't lower the price even though I don't need the extras.
Can't remember what Courts added, I think it's a 8GB memory flash + some other stuff

i think if u wanna buy locally also dont buy in best denki la.. they sell near RRP with rather cheap freebies... go to MScolor, or Alan photo and ask.. i think last seen there is $1650 ... the savings is better then some printer/tripod/cleaning kit

Does anyone know where can I get the TM300?

I checked with Alan Photo and they said it's phased out and that they do not have stock.

eh just to ask this cam cost about 1800 .. wonder is it worth to buy a not .. add 300++ to extend up to 5 year warranty

i got my TM300 almost 1.5 yrs ago for SGD1350 frm pricejapan ..

hah i understand purchase from oversea is cheaper but than i also very consider when it spoilt after 1yr...

i use to own a canon DV video cam which spoilt 3time within 5year and got FREE repair as i extended my warranty.. if repair can cost more
