Got carried away with the possible availability of this lens in JB but not in Singapore. Kudos to David for volunteering and maintaining the Nikon Price Guide (Singapore) 2009 in http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=458315 :thumbsup:

Most of the contributions have been about the lens (technical reviews and sample photos) so it will be a shame if this thread is closed.:thumbsup:

On a lighter side, I've been calling almost all the shops and popping into a few of them to check on its availability about once or twice every week and the answer I had received were that they have no ideas when new stocks will be coming so please stop asking if it is available in Singapore. After all, when it is available for sale in Singapore, that lucky person will definitely post in CS again. ;p

1. Tap (Shot at ISO200 f/2.2)

2. Pooh Bear (Shot at ISO200 f/1.8)

3. Chip, Dale & Melody (Shot at ISO200 f/1.8)

4. Donald, Daisy & Kitty (Shot at ISO200 f/1.8)

the focus point is mostly on the soft toy.

I thought it's the cap on the head :sweat:
Sometimes I find this lens to be slightly soft at wide open. Could be due to the shallow depth of field bah...or could be limit of this lens.

Yes, I thought the same. The cap looked sharper.
I can see a pattern already (someone posted here and another on photozone.de) that wide-open and not well-lit condition, this lens may have some front-focusing.

I am sure stopped-down and maybe outdoor, you won't see much problem.
