Hello

This is my first time posting here... I haven't touched film for years. But I do have 2 sets of photos that have an important place in my heart as they were to first photos I took using my first SLR followed by my second DSLR... and I want to digitize these colour negatives. Just wanted to ask the experts here where and how much and what to expect? For comparison, I am using a Sony A900 now...

Both sets use Fuji Superia 200 on a Minolta Dynax 5 and then a Minolta Dynax 7. They were taken in 2002 and 2004. I hope that they are still suitable for scanning? I have not touched the negatives since they were developed back then. A quick check shows no fungal growths...

Would appreciate it very much if you could direct me to shops (preferably West) that will make good scans at reasonable prices. And if you could also throw in some prices, that would be great!

Thanks!

I scanned my first roll of 135mm(taken by dynax 7 too) about 1 week ago, at Grace Digital lab (sunset way), I scanned it at high resolution(16 base) at only 8.5SGD including processing. If you need to scan only, it is 3.5 for low resolution and 5.5 for high.

and yes, the lab did it very well (both processing and scanning), and it is super fast, i deposit my film at 12:30pm and get my CD back at 4pm.

+1 for Grace if you're in the west. Good service, reasonable price.

I ve always had issue of dust when i get my scans from grace lab. No doubt he is the cheapest in town Nd quick as well but i wont go to him for my hassy stuff maybe just holga stuff

Wow! Thanks! I just need this man! Where exactly in Sunset Way? I live just across the canal actually.

Thanks again!
