Hi guys,

For those who have bought the charger, have you tried it out?

Did you find that for the first time you use the charger on a set of batteries, the charger does not go into trickle mode?

It happened for me so I was wondering if it happened for you too?

However after I used the batteries and charged it again, it went into trickle charge.

Just got the charger from Eastgear today.

Used it to charge 4x GP 1800 mAh batteries, then another time to charge 4x Sony 1600 mAh batteries. Both went into trickle charge mode after about 2 hours.

one of my older set of batt does not seems to work properly

I had it set to discharge... but after word... I didn't notice if it did charge or not, but the lights just went out.... so also dunno what happened there

US or Euro?

Mine is Euro fixed round pins. Works fine for me..

err... would east gear please explain more about the function of the charger ?

I did some charging.....

end up with pretty "funny" resutls..

like it does not go into trickle charging...

at times.... 1 side goes into trickle.. the other side does not.......

happends wheather I use function 1) or 2)
my batts.. are the sanyo 1850 oness... and new.. so I don't think my batteries are spoilt as I've been happily using it before I got the charger.........

:(

what's supposed to happen when the lights go off ?

the paper say "timer control or thermal control activated"

meaning ? it is just cooling down ? I've tried charging over night and by the time I wake up the next morning.... both lights are off !?!?! what's happening ?

Encountered a problem too.

In my previous posts, I used switch "1", meaning letting the charger discharge the batteries before charging them. No problem going into trickle mode for both sets of my 4x sony and 4x GP batteries.

Juz Used the 4x 1800mAh batteries in my digital camera to take some pictures an hour ago, then put them back into the charger and switched to "2" before plugging into socket. The green indicator came on but after a while, one side went off. After about 5 minutes, the other side also went off. I touched the batteries and they were really hot. Still waiting to see if the trickle mode will be activated in a while. Hope it will, or it means that the charger is faulty.

Can someone contact eastgear about this?

sounds super unreliable leh so many complaints/queries

Can all those who purchased the charger please post ur experiences?

sounds like the discharger works in '1' but not charge... cos digicam with low batt usually can still show some FLAT icon...

I called Eastgear regarding this phenomenon, mine the EURO type also has the same problem like Rueyloon's problem. One of the circuit unable to enter trickle charge mode......
Big problem!!!!

So what was his reply?

Is it a batch problem? Meaning the whole batch of chargers are faulty?

give up trying already..

wait for him lah... maybe he kena a bad batch...?

Sorry guys for the slow reply, just came out of my 5 days national service reservist today.

Apparently there is a manufacture defect in some of the CHG2000PDSC 100min Quick Smart Charger, this is comfirmed by the manufacture themselves.

I will do a 1-for-1 exchange of all defective (meaning: not working as described as per in the manual) chargers with those who have bought the charger from me.

Please sms/call me at 96226876 to arrange.

Sorry for the inconvience and thanks for your understanding.

This is not a batch problem, only a small number of chargers are defective. The rest of our chargers are tested to be working perfectly.

Thanks
