any news of 24-70 f/2.8 VR?:dunno:???

any news of its replacement?:dunno:???

so i assume this 24-70 is on ur D300 most of the time now?

do u find 36-105 difficult to adjust to?

thanks!

Do you see any other lenses listed in my signature? ;p

At first, I thought it will be pretty hard to adjust to, especially when I had used the 18-200. However, that turned out to be the opposite and I am pretty happy with the setup.

The 24-70 came out just over a year ago and you ask is a replacement due? Come on. Nikon has a lot more lenses to update, not a 24-70 with VR. You won't need VR when the lens is used on FX anyway, and that's the target customer base.

Anyway the 24-70 being tight on DX is a matter of preference.

how about the Nikkor 12-24mm f/4? haha! how does tt compare as to ur Tokina lens?

haha i got no idea about the comparison. i got the tokina as my first ultra wide, and i never looked back since. there has not been ANY single reason for me to change my tokina to nikon.. but i did extensive research on the 2 of them before i got them.. i cant remember where it is that has the comparison between the 2. izzt KRW or TH? hmmmm.

Needless say, need it? get it! ;)

very good lens.

i am targeting a D90 as well... but lens choice, i hope to get a tamron 17-50mm F2.8 to go with it permanently... will they be a good match... i dnt like the kit lens F stop so i scouting for a faster and cheaper lens...

hope all the gurus here can give some advise.. thks...

100% for my bb girl use + some family pic only...

I don't think there will be one in the next 5 years.

if use on FX body, at 70mm, dnt think VR is needed as much right... :)
my aim is to attach a tamron 17-50mm F2.8 on D90...
any comments on it... :)
mainly for my growing up bb girl memories recording and family pic...

AF-S 17-55 or 3rd party at the same range. Since so many advise have been posted, have you found your often use range? Then is easier to determine which lens to get as there are so many good lenses around for you to choose.

i am still deciding between 17-55 and the 24-70..

???

haha!

oh.. ur 24-70 is all for one, one for all?

hm.. will u consider getting 12-24 as well as 70-200 (both f/2.8)?

Is 14-24 f2.8, not 12-24. Hehe...

It is my only lens (for now...). I will see if there is a compelling need to get other lenses.

If your budget allows, get the 17-55 or if not, the Tamron 17-50. It is a better match with the D300 as it seems to have a more versatile focal range. However, that really depends on your preferred range and if you are still unsure, shoot more with your current lens(es) to find out before spending the cash.

24-70mm F2.8 with VR? Maybe Scott Kelby has one. Rumour says that he even has a custom-made 14-24mm F2.8 with VR from Nikon.

It is not a rumor. It is a mistake and he already admitted to it.

To TS and whoever is in a dilemma.

For DX body, get 17-55.
For FF body, get 24-70.

and i also think its important to add in the factor if you are gonna upgrade to DX in the future if you are on DX now.

u dun wanna keep buying lens with every new body you get...
