That's another guy say that the extended warrenty can be bought for camera from outside shops. I really hope u are wrong because i thinking of buying from shops outside and buy extended warranty at canon booth....

Try going to Canon Digital Lab at harbour front to buy the extended warranty and get the free lens...it might work. A few people did that at the last exhibition.

Went down this morning instead of yesterday... brought the warranty card with me.... Paid $250 for 2yr3mth and get the 50mm lens on the spot... Nothing much is asked although my warranty card is stamp with MSC stamp... I was told no need to register anything online, Canon will auto update the warranty status... Paid with CC and leave the counter within 10 min...

just confirmed with Canon SG. they say if buy from some other stores, they offer you the promotion to get a free 50mm F1.8 II when u extend your warranty. But you need to go to the one at Harbourfront to extend.
the booth at 1st floor by right is for those who made their purchase at COMEX.
So if you are able to get the promotion at suntec when u purchased fr other stores, perhaps lucky ba...

seems like getting fr audio house is not bad for beginners cos they give a dry cabinet eh?

For your information, the ext HDD is not ULU brand. The casing is ULU brand, but the harddisk is 160GB from Hitachi.

I just came back from COMEX. Was told from the first floor canon salesperson that as long you got it from COMEX regardless which shop, you will be able to buy the extended warranty with free lens.

Any1 bought it from audio house with dry cabinet? Is the dry cabinet good? I can't seems to locate the audio house that sells DSLR camera. All i saw is Marantz and Aquos.
