The best solution, give a call to camera shop like Alan/ TK/ Cathay/ Etc.. and ask for their quotation. Most of the time whatever Comex can offer, Camera Shop does the same too. Price wise, it is negotiable (usually lower price from camera shop). Even use credit card is possible with additional 2-3% charges if not mistaken.

Just bought D5100 for $979 at comex just now, before that i went to funan to check the price .Shops i went are Harvey norman , TK, Alan and SLR.
Harney norman funan is selling the same as what comex is offering and that same for the free gifts, so it will be no squeeze and crowds.
Alan and SLR pricing for D5100 is not attractive as TK
For TK. Price is $799 w/o the dry cabinet , extra nikon batteries and the 16gb sd card.Other than that, standard freebies are given.
Since i already bought the set, no point wondering whether i should buy from this shop or that shop and now just enjoy my new camera.
Lastly, the vendor for the nikon camera at comex is aik seng from lucky plaza...i only know it after i made my payment and the feeling is somehow feel a bit insecured but already too late liao..lol..Hopefully nothing happened to the freebies and camera...especially the dry cabinet.

Photography is a very personal thingy. Each hv own individual style and preferences so the only way to learn is get your basics right the rest you must learn from the field.
Get a decent set frm the COMEX, with whatever freebies to give you that sense of value buy but do bear in mind the memories from your shots are worth millions only to you.

I think he means Nikon V1, as in the J1, V1 series.
I suspect he's typing with a European keyboard which have keys slightly different from the usual QWERTY keyboard that we are used to.
