Combining Raynox 250 with Extension Tubes..

Hi all,

I currently have 2 lenses: 1) canon 18-135mm kit lens 2) canon 50mm f1.8

If I fitted my 50mm with the raynox 250, I still would'nt be able to get more than 1:1 mag right?

A website calculated the mag to be only x 0.55. If I added a 25mm extension tube, will I get more than 1:1?

Is there are benefit in fitting the raynox to my 50mm (assuming the supposely better lens quality) since I'm quite sure that my 1) lens will be able to get more than 1:1 with the raynox... at the expense of vignetting (lens 1 has 67mm filter thread)?

Appreciate all advice..

Maybe you can try and stack a Raynox 150 over the Raynox 250. It should give you a magnification of about 0.8X

The CM-2000 package comes with a Raynox-250 and Raynox-150.

I have not tried extension tube with Raynox. Can't help you here.

Since you have a 50mm f1.8, you can consider using the reversed lens technique. Results can be quite amazing.
Here is link for reference.

If TS wants to try the reverse lens method, just google on how to set the aperture. Plenty of info out there.
