there is no fixed method for all images

some images i do compositing, some are just plain portraits.

basically the time is spent cleaning up blemishes, dodge + burn to bring out the shading or gloss, then sharpening.
i don't use filters to clean up blemishes, its the time consuming heal / patch / clone method

for compositing, the tricky part is generating shadows to keep it "real", then its adding contrast and effects to make sure they all blend as close as possible
then there is the blending of colours

here's a bunch i did for charity almost 2 years back, nothing complicated... just normal portraits for the villagers.
i did not want the photojournalism feel, i brought a 1200w flash there and they certainly deserve a proper portrait.
