I've recently ordered a copy from Templatexpert Photobook ( http://www.photobook.com.my/ ). We should meet up soon for a review comparison, that is, if anyone is interested.
Thou I have not sent one for printing, I would like to be there to have a side by side comparision before comitting.
Hope U can do a thread review on this...
I have seen fotohub's and the main diff between wat are mentioned here is that it uses a cardboard-like material for every page. Meaning, instead of the usual photo paper (which is soft and can be dog ear-ed), fotohub uses a much harder material, something like the material of a scrapbook.
i have tried myphoto......
the bad :
the prints were kinda disappointing in terms of colour and "DR",
binding is not fantastic as well
they dont have leather cover or other option.
the good:
but the hardcover is quite ok.
software is quite customizable for the layout.
the sharpness is "guaranteed"
cheap
flexible delivery time as arranged.
quite "passable" for the price of $105 for a 30cmx30cm but of course who doesnt want cheap and good! :embrass:

Received the print by Templatexpert photobook.com.my . I ordered the A4 softcover version.
At first glance:
- Good binding
- good resolution, no pixelation
- dynamic range is rather accurately produced
On closer inspection:
- colour not the same as my EyeOne-calibrated monitor (they use European ISO Fogra 27)
- print is on the soft-side, not sharp compared to the original image.
If you ask me, this vendor is better than Pixart's, and the software is much much more user-friendly and easy to create layouts and designs. Templatexpert has more sizes to choose from. I can't compare with myphotoideas because I didn't print from them, especially after I read raychan's review.
The other vendor I used before is local company, Kikuze (Winsonapm). Their prints are sharper but they don't provide software for layouts. I would use them for professional clients but Templatexpert will be my choice for low-cost photobook.

I have gone to the Bukit Timah outlet for Fotohub. Seen their coffee table album. The prints are ok but they don't come with lamination. Cold lamination is $8 per page. So if you have a 20 page album, lamination charges will be $160. To me, lamination is essential, otherwise the prints will not be able to last. Therefore, the pricing for a typical book will be around $300 if you do your own layout. They charge around $5 per layout. Quite a few hidden costs.
Gone down to Konota. They also provide coffee table album services. But they didn't have any samples for viewing. Anyone printed with them before?

Not yet. I have samples from Kikuze, Templatexpert Photobook and Pixart. Guess we could arrange one gathering soon.
Just got it from the mail. Guess delivery time is around 7-10 days. Made a 42 page hard cover 30x30 book from my recent holiday.
I would say that the prints are of good quality for the price - havent tried others.
Contrast is a bit darker on my book only reason i can think is perhaps my LCD is not properly calibrated. Color is very acceptable to me already - v close to my onscreen pics. I can confirm that the shots are also not as sharp as onscreen - it could be the way the pics are compressed during uploading.
42 page might sound a lot but the book is actually quite thin lol...i think 50 pages or more might look more "proper" for a coffee table book. I printed shots full spread over 2 pages with a shot from 20D - turned out very nice.
Think i might continue using them...

Courier delivery is actually 5 working days, but if you are not at home, they will re-deliver a few times before 'giving up' and pass to SingPost to deliver through the letterbox, which explains your delay.
The 42-pager looks thin because they use thinner papers. For kikuze, they use thicker paper so my 40-page kikuze book sample is rather thick.
